People from the Townsville region are such keen caravanners they have helped Classic Caravans with an outstanding achievement award from Jayco , Australia 's largest recreational vehicle (RV) manufacturer, an award which has been won twice in a row.



Brendan Lew and Trevor Turnbull on receiving the award from Jayco founder and managing director Gerry Ryan, said that the popularity of caravanning was increasing: “RV ownership makes Australia so accessible because you can go where you like, when you like” comments both boys. The award presentation was made at Jayco's annual Australasian dealer conference in Melbourne as the company also celebrates its anniversary as Australia 's No. 1 brand, with a staggering 65 % market share.

“While Jayco is confident it builds the best quality RV products in the country, it is also essential that Jayco Cairns aspires to the highest levels of customer service, as all Jayco purchasing decision can rely on the way people are treated,” Mr. Ryan said. “This team, when receiving this award also commented that although honored to receive this award, it had been a team effort, and they would like to thank all involved in making this award a reality”.
